Is this possible? on the assumption same family surname at the same address. If so, is it just a call to FC?

looking at Snr NH's accounts being rolled into one, to enable better clarity on reward options

Do you mean combine his account and another persons? Or several accounts owned by one person? If the former, no, the accounts are individual and not household based so cant be combined/joined but you can spend your miles on other people. If the latter technically you shouldn't have more than one account?

Thanks,
Sarah

As Sarah has said it is not possible to combine FC accounts. You can become an authorised user on other accounts that will allow to spend the miles in that account without the need for them to present. Of course the usual rules regarding using miles from more than one account still apply. To do thistbe FC account holder just needs to call and give the name of the person they want to be an authorised user, very quick and simple

Not from one account to another. Gifting is you buying miles and crediting them to someone else's account

No - I don't think it is

Bizarrely, you can't 'gift' anything you own

Only things you buy

Anyone want to disagree with me?

Nope, as HL has stated above, the 'gifting' of miles, involves you buying some new miles, and they get put directly in to someone else's FC account. It is not possible to give some of your existing miles to another FC account.

What you could do is use miles from each account to get the reward seat/upgrade, BUT it has to be in equal amounts. e.g if you need 100k miles for the reward then 50k from each account can be spent for it. (have done it 3 times for flights before)

You can't split the amounts say 70k from one and 30k from another account, so if you don't have the equal amounts then you will need to buy the extra miles to make it so.

You will need to ring FC to do it and you both need to be present to authorise the deduction from each account (unless you are authorised users on each others accounts).

Word of warning though, the last time i tried to do it the FC agent said it couldn't be done that way. After speaking with the supervisor she apolgised for the incorrect info from the agent. So if you get told no, try someone else.
