Sorry, AlanA, but gliderpilot has been the first V-Flyer into the new LGW Clubhouse

We await his photos [:D]

Pics now posted, must say was an honour to be the first V-Flyer, very nice surprise to be invited in for the preview/test day (just a tad smug at that as was expecting the V-Room [}:)]). AlanA, am sure you will enjoy it as much as I did!

Oooh! where are the pics?? :-)

Hi all, in that Clubhouse (pictures to follow, but Clubhouse dragon has told me off for taking pictures 'not allowed' apparently!)
some thoughts from those girls with me
1) Cowshed spa too open, dont wat treatments with everyone watching
2) spa in the wrong place, middle of clubhouse
3) poor choice on the menu, also the breakfast is a lot smaller
4) no cereals, muffins or juices on the bar, you have to order, but NO MUFFINS!
5) staff are not happy, people don't like the eating area been called too IKEA by pax, people don't want to sit there and only do if the rest of the CH is full
They don't like the new uniforms and some of the equippment needs some changes (Handles rip fingers etc)
All orders drinks, food etc have to now go through on touch screens as billings (Is this for the future? no self service and billing station???)
The bottom area of the CH is cold, Aircon too good.
There is a special VIP curtained section. England crickiters taken there just now, but as there is nothing in it, they have moved to the TV lounge!

Urgh, I don't think I like the sound of the 'new improved' clubhouse Alan! I might have to spend more time shopping and less time relaxing in the clubhouse for my next trip.

Returned the complement, yesterday [y].

Is there a B side tour to the Caribbean or something? Otherwise perhaps English cricketers rather than England?

From the ECB website, htey could be some of the players from the EPP (Elite Performance Programme) who are going to Florida for fast bowling training.

I sat in the area with the tv, was told its for VIP's but if none are expected you can use it.
There is also a power point on the wall next to the chair on the left of the tv. That was the only socket in that area that didnt have a lamp plugged into it.
Not sure where there are others,if any, saw a couple of guys walking around looking for power points.

The muffins albeit mini ones and cookies, are with the newspapers/magazines just outside the spa area, not where the other newspapers are by the reception.

Thought the spa treatment area was too open for spectators.

The dining area, apparently people still not using it unless its really busy.

Food menu nothing exciting but the champagne kept coming, which wasnt a bad thing as the Vegas flight was 2 hour delay.
