New LHR 747 layout

Looks like a new seating plan for the LHR 747 has appeared on the VS website. The upper deck is now 5 rows of Upper Class at the front (rows 1-5) then 6 rows of Economy (75-80) at the rear.

I know the planned upper deck re-config at LHR was mentioned in the past on here - but wasn't the plan then to make it all Economy?

Whoever came up with this little gem of a layout has not thought about service. 10 UC pax at the front, 33 Y pax at the back and just one toilet upstairs... at the front of the UC cabin. The UC pax are going to love having the queue for the toilet in the aisle!

Hi James,

There was quite a lengthy thread about the new layout here, and like you point out, the general consensus was that there are numerous issues with the new layout.

I am sure a mod will be along at some point to lock/merge the threads.
