I understand that the cutlery (knives, forks etc) will be plastic rather than metal on the SYD-HKG and HKG-SYD due to Australian regulations.

This is mentioned in a few of the trip reports for those flights so I'd have a look there for more information.

Crockery (plates etc) should be made of china in UC and PE.

On my last SYD trip I had a metal fork and a plastic knife.

Still bottles on the bars and silly inconsistent security rules around the world!

All cutlery on the HKG-SYD-HKG flights is plastic due to Australian regulations.

In Upper and PE it is the clear plastic cutlery that was used in UC before the current metal cutlery came online.
