My previous trip was last March and I'm heading to Hong Kong/Kuala Lumpur this summer.

If your last trip had been red pillowed, with in flight treatments and unending T10 and lime perhaps the 'then and now' might have stood out but since the difference between last year and this is a packet of Polos and a stubby pen I wouldn't (and I am not) lowering my expectations. Yes, further cuts may occur between now and then but lots of things may happen - BA goes bust after strike, JAL gets bought by Ryanair, Labour wins the next election...

We were transferred to BA club from VS Upper as the aircraft went tech. I did not like BA Club at all, I had to keep jumping over someone elses legs to get out of my seat. The food was awful and served from a trolley so did not feel like a premium service and they were really reluctant to provide drinks (when we had to get up and ask them!) during the flight. Every time I have flown VS upper I have always had superb service and this was definitely missing on my club flight. I had been thinking that other airline business classes were all similar, but this was a massive wake up call for me, so I am now firmly back in the VS Upper camp!!

I think another important point is that BA CW is not their top class so it wont feel like your in the best seats!

I'm with you there, we went club with BA in Oct 09, LHR-SFO and return. It was our first trip in club for a few years as we have been with VS and others since.

Thought it was really poor, the bed was very uncomfortable, space was tight (and I'm not exactly massive) and the club suite frame was really flimsy. I was in 62K and had some big fat git next to me, everytime he got up and down the whole thing shook.

Service was grumpy, food was poor and I concur about the drinks service.

As for that bed, my wife and I both had sore backs after both flights.

I wasn't overly impressed with the BA lounges either, couldn't see what the fuss was about, the ones in T5 are new and that's about all they had goign for time.
