Doesn't matter, just have a look at the BA sale for the VS sale fares to the US [:w][:p] Although I'm not expecting them to include MCO.

BA CW is 1349 to MCO [:)]
UC still seems to be 1830 -
so I guess they are re-editing the USA prices..

Sorry I phrased my post incorrectly. I saw the BA MCO offer yesterday at 1349. What I meant to say was judging by the past couple of sales it's one of the few US destinations that VS don't normally copy BA (hopefully I will be proved wrong).

The Upper upgrade prices for my BOS flight have dropped by about 250 each way so US Upper fares have been reduced.

Guess its a very popular summer route and not necessary to discount as there is always demand

OK here's my dilema

VS don't list thr USA as part of their sale although some prices have been reduced.

I want to go to Florida in April. Previous prices were:

MCO with BA or VS around 1800

MIA with BA or VS arounf 2300

New prices

MCO - BA 1350 - VS still 1800 ish

MIA - BA 1750 - VS 1650

Do I:

1. Take the BA MCO option and risk getting caught in the possible strike.

2. Take the VS MIA option and pay 600 more than option 1.

3. Wait and see if VS reduce their MCO prices.

I'm not sure VS will come down to 1350 for April, which contains the 2 weeks of Easter. The PE sale for MCO was only 1k, so not sure if UC will be that close.

For 600 I would risk the BA option, I thought any strikes would be March time.

Sorry, a bit more info, we want to go at the end of April after the kiddy winkies have gone back to school, I've checked the Unite web site and the earliest they could strike is beginiing of March they haven't stated when they would strike so it could be an issue.

Currently though I'm where you are Neil.

The link is there now, but it takes you to the Asia sale page [V]

I am in the same boat as yourself, more flights to book, but with a potential saving of 600+ per flight at the moment, what do you do [?]

I have Gs for second week in April MAN-MCO.
That particular flight is light (only 2 other seats booked) in UC but PE & Y are almost full. Just done a check and it seems its one of the few lightly booked - most are almost full - so I guess we were lucky getting 2 Gs at Christmas.
If they are filling the aircraft, no point in reducing revenue.

May, however seems light in J although full in Y.

It looks as though you need to consider the dark side (MCO or TPA) - there are still reports of some people who have left the BA getting ballot papers so there could be further legal action as well as the Feb. 1st case.

This page on the VS site has the UC sale details, dates are on the right hand side.

Many thanks for the link, its odd that they dont have it displayed more prominately. Since they do not have HKG what's the cheapest way to go to Malasysia?

On VS Metal for at least part of the way ex-Dubai or Delhi or Tokyo/Shanghai, but that's really going out of your way.

I've just noticed this in the t&c

'For New York reservations only, travel is permitted on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday only, in each direction.'

No weekend 3 nighters then..

They must be joking - 2298 sale fare to SFO!
It's been that price or close for weeks now. Just glad I booked last September at 1500 per person UC.
