LA with miles options

Guys,

I need to get my wife, toddler and myself to LA in October for a wedding and was hoping to use miles, but there's no EC availability when I need to go. There appears to be plenty of UC and some PE availability, but I'm short on the miles. I've got 150k in my account and the wife has 59k in her's.

The only option I seem to come up with is out in UC and back in EC which appears to be available for the dates I need according to the website. But EC after UC does not seem that appealing....

Any other clever suggestions?

Why not buy an L economy fare and then upgrade to either PE or UC (40k or 60k return depending on which class you go up to.

Have you and mrs tc considered buying the miles?

How old is the toddler? If under 2 on the day of travel then he/she would qualify for an infant fare; if older a child fare. I would suggest that you use your miles to pay for your UC fare and the outbound leg of Mrs TC's fare and use 50K of her miles for the return and then buy the child fare

Alternatively use your miles for yourself and your wife in PE and your wife buys miles to bring her account up to the requisite 75000 for Junior
