Hi,

Can anyone give any info on the BA (CW) lounges at LGW and TPA? We fly out the 10th of February and have not used either of these airport lounges. We've tried the lounge in T5 and the ones at MIA.

Any info/tips would be much appreciate

I can tell you sbout LGW but not TPA I am afraid.

The LGW Exec Club lounge is on two floors in the North Terminal: you turn sharp left after you've done security and head toward the gates in that direction. Just after you've escaped the shopping mall it's on the right.

There are some rather basic self service snacks with a full bar except Champagne. There is an infant area on one of the floors. For example, toast and dry mini croissants for brekkie, and sandwiches late afternoon. The saving grace is that they have Marmite.

There are pretty good showers too.

If you are BA Gold, go up one floor and you can use the First lounge. It's not very big, and the food (waiter/ress services) is only marginally better than that in the Exec Club, but the Champagne can be very good. Booze is self service, and you often have to ask them to bring out more of the good stuff.

Apart from the Champagne in the F lounge, nothing to get very excited about I'm afraid.

I think you can get a glass of bubbly in the main lounge but you have to ask.

I believe you're right, although I have only ever seen that in LHR T5 Galleries, never in LGW.

My parents have had this at LHR - in either T4 or T5 (cannot remember where their flight went from, as it was in the transition period between T4 & T5).

In the Business/Club lounge for pax with no EC Status, Champagne was not even listed on the list of available drinks - but if you asked for Champagne, they would produce some. Tight so & so's!

Speaking of tight so'n'so airlines ...

though technically UA no longer has a lounge at LHR.
