Was booked to fly PE from LHR to IAD on Saturday. Checked in at UC desk thanks to the FC Au card and headed up to CH for breakfast. As usual, CH was the best way to start a trip, had a quick shoulder massage, no problem booking it - Breakfast great!

Arrived at gate and delighted to see the red light shine when the ticket is scanned - Upgrade to UC [y].

The service from the cabin staff was outstanding, which has always been my experience (especially the closer to the front you fly!). The food was not the best I have had, and I really don't like the Odessey IFE which is so poor compared to the V-Port, but as I was on an upgrade, I'm really not in a position to complain!

I always find the middle UC seats very hot on the Airbus and there is no air vent - must remember to take more layers off before I fall asleep!

Landed in thick snow at IAD, and I was concerned that last time I flew here in June 09, it took over 2.5 hours to get through the airport. Whilst there was some delay in the airport due to the back up caused by the weather, I out in just over an hour (which is pretty quick based on the 10 or so trips I took to the US in past 12 months!)

Fingers crossed for a busy PE section on the flight home....
