can GC holders priority book Exit row seats?

many US airlines allow Elite flyers to book the exit row seats well ahead, if they are just traveling Coach/ Economy, for no extra fee. Anyone can try to grab them 24hrs ahead, but up to then, are reserved for Elite/Platinum flyers.

Question is: does VS do this? seems like a good idea for when their elite members are 'slumming it!'

a little perk that would cost them nothing and show a little appreciation to their most loyal PAX.

Narikin (it's about time you joined VFlyer BTW) no FC Au's cannot book exit row seats.

Am I with you, in that we should, 100%. Is VS, well no, they're often dumbass!

Not all Elite flyers are slumming it in Economy, they often have no choice due to company policy.

I agree that Au members should be able to pre-book them at a certain time before regular checkin opens like most other airlines, however, VAA is not like most other airlines

IIRC anyone occupying an exit row seat has to be able bodied. This is why you cannot book in advance of them seeing you at check in.

Other airlines don't seem to have this policy as bmi often assign me an exit row seat for domestic flights automatically during OLCI which I can only guess but could be down to me having bmi Ag status especially now bmi Ag's and Au's no longer get seated at the front of the A/C.

Just about all US airlines do this - you tick a disclaimer box when selecting the seat and if a FA finds that you've told a fib, they'll move you.

It'd be very easy for VS to do. It's only a lack of imagination and focus on the most frequent fliers holding them back.

BA allow you to select them at OLCI - you have to tick a disclaimer as mentioned to say you are able bodied etc etc.

When you pre-book them on Qantas, you are not allowed to do OLCI but have to present yourself at the airport for check-in so they make sure that you can sit there. And if you are not suitable, they will not refund the extra money that you paid. That bit came as a bit of a shock when I read that.
