New GLA-MCO: Now operating ALL summer in 2011

Following the success of their peak-date flying programme from Glasgow to Orlando, Virgin Atlantic will begin a FULL SUMMER service from Glasgow to Orlando for 2011. The first flight departs Glasgow on Saturday 2nd April 2011 with the last flight departing Glasgow on 30th October 2011. Return flights operate 2 weeks later.

The flights will operate every Saturday and Sunday from April to October. (The following Sunday flights will not operate: 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th May & 11th, 18th, 25th September. Saturday flights will still operate on these weekends).

Seats go on sale for all Summer 2011 holidays from GLA, MAN & LGW through Virgin Holidays tomorrow (18th February).

Log-on to virginholidays.co.uk from 18th February to book, and receive 10% discount on any Summer 2011 holiday!

Interesting to see extra flights for the MAN/LGW a/c fleet, surely this will result in further reshuffle of the existing routes and a/c.

Would be good to see the B744 on this, but the (rumoured) two class A330 sounds favourite. Only seems fair to give them a weekly BGI to go with MCO...... Anybody any idea of the timings??

This is good news. We have gone back to CO this year as they were a good bit cheaper than VS and just as good, but the last 3 years have been really good flying VS out of Glasgow so would happily go back with them.

Not aware of the fleet situation but the VS GLA flights could have started before 2007 with the demand.

Get's a mention on VS staff site apparently, though no mention of equipment to operate it!!!!

Looks to be the 747 and there is special offer about to come out!
Depart 10, 11, 15, 16, 17 June to come back on 24, 25, 29, 30 June and 1July
All travel must be completed by 2nd July.

Fare is 441 including tax with a 15 surcharge for travel on Fri/Sat/Sun.
I doubt this is on the VS Website yet so v-flyers get booking early!
