What are the benefits to a VAA FC Au or Ag card holder of booking, say a Singapore Airlines flight through VAA as a codeshare? Is it simply that I would (if gold) still be able to use the VAA CH's?

I could otherwise just book the ticket direct with Singapore, and still get the VAA miles and TP's (just no lounge access) etc. Are there any other benefits to codeshares other than just the lounge access [?]???

Thanks as always.

It's much commented on that even flying SQ as a FC Au on a codeshare no longer gets clubhouse access.

What is the benefit of a codeshare, hmmm, stumped on that one, perhaps booking / pricing on one itinerary if you need to say connect from JFK-LHR-BOM on VS then 9W???

If you book the NH codeshare and fly on VS metal you get 70% miles in the lowest class instead of 50%.
Before ANA increased their fuel surcharge last month it was often cheaper too!
