On a more serious note, one cost cutting/environment saving idea could be to get rid of the menus they give out in PE. Yes, I see the attraction, but realistically, the only choice is chicken or beef, and I'm not sure we need a printed menu for that. One idea (which they could also extend to the whole plane) would be (like they do on the AF A380) would be to have the menus on the IFE. Probably wouldn't be too much trouble to do?

We flew back from DXB last week in PE - no menus were handed out either before or during the flight! Also, what has happened to the ice cream? We were given a pack of wine gums instead!!! Not quite the same.

There are certain flights (ie DXB, NBO) where sweets are served instead of ice cream - it has been like that for quite a while.

Oh I didn't realise that not having flown to DXB before. Thanks!

Tinkerbelle: many thanks. I have to agree that the UC food I found a bit, well, esoteric. The PE was more to my taste and so is this menu. But I did miss sitting at the bar!

Tink, the following flights, mainly Caribbean I guess, VS029/31/33/35/37/51/57/65/69/77/81 have a slightly different outbound menu in that "Kingston meatballs - a traditional Jamaican recipe - served with pulao rice" replaces the creamy chicken korma.

Inbound on VS030/32/34/36/38/52/58/66/70/78/82, things are quite different from those quoted earlier.

Salad.
Classic Caesar salad.
Main Courses.
Grilled chicken served with mashed potatoes, peas and gravy.
West Indian beef curry with vegetable rice and grilled aubergine.
Chunky vegetable jambalaya with grilled plantain.
Warm Bread.
Onion and dill roll or ciabatta roll.
Dessert.
Frosted carrot cake

The Kingston meatballs got the thumbs up from us on the way out; both the chicken and the jambalaya went down well overnight and I had seconds of the carrot cake (well we were on holiday, just) ii)

yes its the same menu

It changes every 6 months in econ and premium economy and every 3 months in upper.

there may be some variation for some routes (e.g. on the far east routes) but it will be the same for the entire period.

Sorry guys I've just read my original post and have realised that the menu has changed to the summer menu since I posted the spring one - I originally put Spring/Summer as I wasn't sure how often the menu changed. Have now changed the title of this thread to just "Spring" and I'll post the summer menu for you all.
