Interesting. Another one up for VS over BA. Knowing SRB we will soon see VS planes flying around with "Official AIrline to the England Team" on the side, much like BA did when they had the contract.

I note the press release says the players will use the UC Wing.....somehow I doubt any players will be setting foot in T3. I would imagine that, as with previous England flights, they will firstly be handled through a private terminal (or checked in at their hotel) and secondly the aircraft will probably use somewhere other than LHR. IIRC all previous England team flights have departed from LTN (I guess because its close to the England Hotel in Hertfordshire), although I am not sure if LTN's runway can take a 346.

Am guessing that the poster was trying to be subtle and suggest that the 'proper' world cup, is the one that is being held next year in New Zealand.

It will more than likely be their own plane just like when VS flew the American football teams to Wembley and took the golfers to the US for the Ryder Cup.

They could use any 346 - when VS flew the Ryder Cup team to the US, G-VFOX was used and it was temporarily renamed "Queen of Clubs".
