For the VS10 - what rows are the snooze zone on the 600?

My seat map online is telling me it's rows 1-4 only but I seem to recall my last flight was row 6 and that was still Snooze Zone?

Anybody know if it's changed recently? Called Premier team and they were just as confused as me.

Officially, the snooze zone is rows 1-4, but there have been a few reports in the past about it being rows 1-7 depending on demand.

Definitely 1-7 on my last JFK-LHR three weeks ago!

If it is changed on an "on demand basis" how is that decided, as surely it can only be when people are checking in they ask about it? I just can't fathom how it could work like that.

Immediately after take off and seat belts off, the lights are dimmed, there's no meal service (can still be had if you ask) and crew come around preparing beds. People simply bed down straight away to max out the sleeping time before landing.

For those not in the snooze zone its the GNF service, with lights on a little longer.

Premier have advised VS system shows rows 1-8 as being 'snooze' yet they cannot explain why everything else, including their website and online seat map shows 1-4 only.

Somebody will know the answer i'm sure!

Snooze zone isn't on the SYD flights, so it won't affect you. It is only on selected flights, usually the late leaving East Coast US ones and Dubai also IIRC.

Yes Snooze Zone can be found on the overnight flights home from IAD, BOS and NYC (except the VS4) and the outbound flight to DXB.

The official rows are 1-4 even though the curtain is between rows 7 and 8. I have seen these flights go without Snooze Zone when there has been no demand for it (often on the IAD flights). If there is more demand at check-in then it is extended to rows 1-7.

As others have said there is no meal service served in Snooze after take-off. The lights stay dark and beds are made when the seat belt sign is turned off. A lot of people usually have a nightcap before sleeping. Breakfast is served when you wake up before landing.

On the 24 (A340-600) back from LAX in January the whole UC cabin appeared to be a snooze zone! ][|)

I think I was the only one awake at one time. All suites were converted to beds, lights dimmed and blinds shut - it was a very dull flight! ?|

It's not good is it, when your mind is racing and a soothing balm or two at the bar and some good conversation is a necessary thing. I've been on flights like that, where there's either no appreciation of the bar or everyone's just, dull!

At least there was no problem getting a seat at the bar! :)

When we flew UC from IAD in Jan 2008, I remember being asked at the entrance to the lounge whether we wanted to change our seats but I can't remember whether it was because we were in the snooze zone or whether we were out of it. We were sat in 3 & 4 K IIRC. Everyone around us put on sleep suits and bedded down, we went to the bar for our dinner (it was my birthday ;) ), if I remember correctly we had a massage each on board and then reclined our seats and dozed off.

Even without lying flat, it was the freshest I've ever come off off an overnight transatlantic flight.

We flew on a 300, I believe. Next time, (June I hope), I'll try out the flat bed - too much of a newbie to UC the last time!!
