The New V-Flyer - The First Few Days

No I'm on the 13th from LHR - SFO but coming back mid June from MCO. Anyone doing the 12K run in San Fran on the 16th May?

Pete, do I assume that the "took off" messages that are appearing within the profiles and under recent activity on the left of this are another rather neat feature which you have set up? If so, what a clever chap you are. y)

Indeed, HWV. It's an extension of the Flight Status widget I wrote for VS for Facebook, which writes the flight status to your Facebook status for flights you've entered into your itinerary. It's basically the same thing using posts in the itinerary calendar and your V-Flyer status.

Next step would be to adapt Mat's companion Flying Club widget for V-Flyer... Oh, Mateous, do you have a moment...

Thanks Pete. Does it then automatically replace whatever else is written in the status area of the profile, both on here and Facebook? And then, after a set time does the status area revert back to whatever, if anything, was there before?

Two separate apps, so you'd have to have the app set up on Facebook as well as be using the itinerary forums on V-Flyer, but neither revert the status text, as status text is supposedly a transitory thing indicating what you're doing 'now'. (That's partly a developer-get-out, since storing the previous status text would be problematic.)
