Can anyone tell me if there is any recognition from Virgin if you reach 1 million flying club miles ?

I tend to spend my miles as soon as I earn them but a friend is getting very close to the million mile mark.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you

My inderstaning is that Virgin take recognition form Tier points and not miles (which many are earned from companies not directly involved with earning Virgin revenue) so having 1million miles will not be noticed.

However if you have earned that many tier points . . . . . .

If it's total miles then I must have missed the reward :? . I keep a spreadsheet with all my miles and trips broken down (how terrible is that!) and am on 943,000 actual miles flown (over 2.5m with all miles!).

Not saving up for that week in Necker? Can you still cash in a million miles for that?

Necker Island is still available for 1M miles.

Virgin Galactic now also available for 2M (but they have all to be from just VS flights and nothing else)

I thought about the Virgin Galactic offer, until I also learned that it had to be from flights, and probably half mine are from the Credit Card.

I also thought that it's a bit selfish to spend 2M on a short trip into the upper atmosphere, as that would buy a lot of trips for the family.

I'm hoping that Virgin will still be operating in 30 years, so i can spend them when I retire. As i spend enough time on planes for work, I have very little time to then spend miles on a fun trip.

I'm not that far away from 1M miles, and had I not spent some on my wife's seat to Sydney in August, I'd be at the 1M mark right now.

Shame there is no recognition !
