Arrived at check in as staff were taken away for a briefing regarding the volcaniv ash situation. After a 5 minute wait we were pleased to learn that out flight was going to be one of the last leaving Heathrow.

Clubhouse not very busy but still not able to get an appointment for a massage. Didnt eat but champagne went down well. Arrived at gate to see Priority Boarding working well but still had to queue for quite a while on jet way. Once on board soon after more champagne. UC was very quite, approx 10 seats of approx 40 taken on lower deck and believe plenty of empty seats in PE & economy.

Staff pretty attentive, FSM in evidence but didnt speak to all UC passrngers which wouldnt have been difficult as there were so few of us.

Order lunch of soup & whatever the fish dish was, soup ok but fish very poor, blame myself for not eating in the CH.

On landing in SF very quickly through imigtration and into cab.

All in all a very average experiance.

Best regards

Thanks for the TR, does sound a bit of a disappointing flight. Yet again I read that the CH wasn't full but no appointments available!!! v( v( v(

Just checked my post, sorry for terrible spelling. I have to admit to having had a few G & T's last night here in Kansas City.

Leaving today for LA then onto Melboune via Auckland on Air NZ.

Thank you for the TR.

My colleague was on the VS03 which took off 11:47, so you must have been after her.

Must have been nerve wracking waiting in the queue to take off minutes before the airport shut.
