Hello everyone.

First post on the forum so please go easy on me! This site is fantastic and full of brilliant information.

Me and my wife are flying to Orlando with Virgin on July 14th. Can't wait. We are going with my brother and his wife and their 2 kids.

Now seat choice wise I had asked for me & my wife to go in 62 H&K the 2 seaters that are at the rear and my brother and his family to go in 62 DEFG.

However my brother has been assigned his seats ok, but me and my wife have been moved to 61 H&K.

I assume the reason for this is because on SOME VS aircraft seats 62 H&K have the extra legroom where you pay £30 at Check In. Now I don't mind paying the extra but I know only G-VTOP, G-VAST & G-VXLG have the extra leg room seats in rows 62 & 63. Obviously I won't know which aircraft I am on until the day, so want to know if seats 61 H&K are ok if they don't have the extra legroom? Looked at Seat Maps on here but not many comments.

Also I hear some VS aircraft don't have a window in seats 61H&K (Hotlips being 1) but does anyone know which other aircraft don't have a window at these seats???? What's the reason for no windows?

Hope you can help me!

I have a feeling that the further you get towards the back of the aircraft seats in the centre are staggered slightly with those on the sides.
The seats you have been allocated may take this into account and allow you all to be seated in line.

Its been a while since I have been that far back so I may be wrong. I am sure someone will correct me if thats not the case.

Hi and welcome to V-Flyer :)

As you say, the seat map and ratings feature on the site here can be helpful especially as VS does offer seat assignment unlike some other carriers :w

Given there is nothing you can do to get an extra leg room seat until check in then blagging 61 H& K seems as good as you can get at the moment as you do have only two seats

I am sure someone will come along and cover off whether 61 has a window or not - the point really is that you are all going to be excited about your holiday and will be up and talking as soon as the seat belt lights are off and you can always go down to the back of the cabin (not that far for you ): ) and peer out of the window at the rear door.

Thanks a lot guys!

I am sure someone out there will be able to tell me which aircraft don't have a window seat.

Like you said, at least I know I have a 2 seater going & coming back so anything else on top would just be a bonus.

I laughed when you said I could stand at the back to look at the window, as some of the seat reviews on here moan about people doing that!!!!! Ha! I would just say you told me I could do it so I would be ok!-)
