Fast and efficent check in at Business Premier desk, slight delays due to queues at immigration. Soon in depatures for a quick look around the very expensive stores, prices at the airport for fashion and electrical items are higher than in the city so no purchases made. Air New Zealand share the United Airlines lounge at HKG, while no Club House it is perfectly adequate. After 30 minutes in lounge flight called and boarding fast via priority boarding and dedicated business class jet way.
On board whole experiance good, started watching first movie 5 minutes after boarding, why dont Virgin switch on V.Port as soon as passengers board ? FSM manager introduced himself personally to every business class passenger and had a short chat. Service throughout flight was very good and food certainly better than regular VS UC passengers have had to become used to.
Altogether a very good in flight experiance.
Only negative was the slowness of baggage arriving on Carousel which seemed to take ages.
As Business Class fares on Air New Zealand to HKG are often little more than VS PE it is well worth checking out.
