This is my first trip report on V-Flyer so let me know if i miss anything.

to get to Gatwick my family and i took the train from Weymouth via Clapham Junction, a long trip but easer than driving and parking.
on arrival at LGW we used the Twilight check in service which was a lot quicker and easier than check in on the morning and then stayed at the LGW Travelodge.
the morning of our flight we had access to the V-Room (Free when we booked our trip) this was a brilliant way to start our holiday as it is a lot more relaxed than main departures and there is a good view of the runway and gates so we were able to watch our aircraft (Hot Lips) land. once our flight was called in the V-Room we made our way to the gate which was very busy, after a few minutes the ground staff started to board the plane (having difficulty with everyone rushing to get on regardless of seat number)

the flight had an on time departure and i was very pleased that the flight path took us over Southampton Bournemouth And Weymouth, the area i live in and so know well.

the crew gave out the amenity packs (of witch none of my family used any item inside) followed by headphones and a drinks service.
the crew on this flight were very helpful and cheerful which made flying with them a pleasurable experience and even the flight service manager went round economy with tea and coffee (something i haven't seen on a flight for a while!!)
the food was good although the afternoon tea (sandwich) had only one option by the time it got to me as the flight was full.
we landed into Orlando ahead of schedule and managed to clear customs and immigration in 15 - 20 mins. luggage was waiting for us on the belt, and VH car hire was quick and easy.

return trip to follow.

Thanks for the TR y) y)

Glad to hear that the Crew came across very well as this is so important for families anxious to get to see Mickey nad his chums :D

It might be helpful to know where you were seated on the airraft as the 15 - 20 minutes to get through Immigration is prety good going - were you at the back?

Also, did you take your luggage on to the Shuttle after clearing customs or entrust it to the second drop?

Thanks once again

hi
we were seated near to the rear galley at row 50 i think.
customs had every desk open and all passengers seemed to be going to the left so we went right to the shorter que.

we took our own bags across on the trolley/train not trusting the 2nd drop.

We did use the 2nd drop (we were in no rush with a connecting flight a few hours away) BUT the staff at the belt where you deposit the bags were VERY reluctant to let us deposit them, almost to the point of saying "you can't". Perhaps they had a mate at the other end who likes a quiet life?
In any event, we stuck on 'em and hoped they reappeared - which they did.
