Hi all,

Just a quick question.

Does anyone know if VS81 tomorrow morning will have the VPort entertainment system? Or Odyssey?

I have had a quick look on previous flights and it looks like Odyssey, but thought would ask in case we got lucky!

Wanted to confirm 2 seats on their own at the back but was too slow it seems, so will have to make do with the 2 of us in a 3 and hope that no-one sits next to us!

Also, we are going to get married so I will try for an upgrade at the airport or at Twilight Check In, but I realise this is highly unlikely!

Normally these flights operated via the Gatwick fleet and your chances of getitng a plane equipped with V-Port are non existant.
(Unless I've not been paying attention to the Gatwick fleet refurbishment programme)

However, these are not normal times, so anything could happen.

Thank you very much!

We are staying at Galley Bay. I have been to Antigua many times but never Galley Bay, I cannot wait! We were supposed to go last Friday but the volcano ruined everything. Second time lucky hopefully!

As ukcobra has said, these flights are operated by a 747 usually from the LGW/MAN fleet, all of which are equipped with Odyseey or Nova IFE. One of the LHR 747's has been helping out on some of the LGW routes but usually it is the BGI flights it has been operating.

Also, with the problems caused by the volcano, I imagine Virgin are trying to use a/c to suit getting the highest capacity a/c in to places where there is a large backlog of pax waiting to get home.

If you check the manage my booking section on the VS site, it will show the a/c config that is current set to operate your flight, so that will show you if it is a LGW a/c or an LHR one.

If you log on to here in the morning, we will be able to advise the exact a/c reg.

I think most seats will be taken for quite a bit given the chaos of the last week!

Well Went out on this flight and Came back on the VS034 on Wednesday the 5th of may. Had an awesome holiday even took a helicopter trip around the island it was awesome, We had 447 passengers on the the VS081 and 433 on the VS034 Back so a nearly full payload on both sectors.

We did the same! We were supposed to go for a week, but ended up extending our stay and coming back on the 5th. I am still depressed to be back :-( An amazing trip. Galley Bay was stunning.

However, we were very disappointed with Virgin both ways. Rude staff and entertainment didnt work both ways. I will be writing a letter of complaint for sure. Very surprising to be dissatisfied with Virgin but unfortunately we were.
