Aircraft Schedules

Just a quick question...

How far in advance to Virgin plan what aircraft fly what route?
and is there anyway to find out what aircraft will fly one route apart from on the day or using Pete's brilliant which aircraft tool to look back and see what aircraft have flown the route the previous months.

I'm not sure on the first part of the question, although I think I remember reading it was a couple of weeks, but ISTBC.

As for finding out the a/c in advance, then that is a no. The standard reply to that question on here was "you'll know when you're sat on board". Now whilst that is still true as things do change at the very last minute, thanks to Pete's great new features you can find out early on in the day of your flight or late the night before.

The reason for the info not being published is two fold, firstly because of security issues, it could be a risk to let people know which a/c are flying to which exact destinations, but also, and the main one, is because things are always changing, quite often right up until the last minute.
