I am curious to find out which a/c will operate the 15 to Orlando on the 30th(i'm on it!!), or at least what ife it will have. Are their any websites that offer this as the v-flyer resources(although useful) only show a day ahead.
I dont think you will get the exact plane info so far in advance, for security reasons
Hello and welcome !
Have a look on the 'schedules' section in the 'the toolbix' section above!
It wont tell you exactly which aircraft you will get (thats not released for operational / security issues) but it will give an indication of the 'type' of plane you will get.
The main VS site says that the 15 will be a 747 400 that day.
Most of the LGW flights only have the 'Nova' IFE so a more limited selection of films and it is the 'all films start at the same time and you cant pause it' system

V-Flyer is way ahead of any of the other websites in letting you know which aircraft you are on as it gets its feed directly from VS which no other website does. As Penny says, it is not released before that for security reasons and even then there could be a change of aircraft because the original one scheduled has been delayed or has gone tech. In the days when we did have that information I have twice been on a different aircraft.
As Tonty says it will be on a 747, but which system will depend on the plane. Some have the Nova system and the rest Odyssey both of which are on a loop and cannot be paused. You may however be very lucky and get a LHR configured plane which sometimes flies out of LGW and get the V-Port system
Thanks for all of the replys, ill just have to hope for the bettter oydessy system!!!
Hi Leisure Flyer,
We are also on VS15 on 30th May, so will also be hoping for Odyssey not Nova! We have not been on many flights which have had the Odyssey system, so usually resign ourselves to Nova - but once or twice have had a pleasant surprise. Virgin have said they are re-fitting the LGW/MAN fleet starting next year, so a better entertainment system will eventually be on all of the planes.
Hope the ash cloud stays away and we don't have any long delays!

I usually find that the plane that operates the VS043 to Las Vegas the day before operates the VS015 the following day.
And the last (and only) 2 times ive been on the VS015 its been one of the 4 Nova planes. And according to the seat config on my flight next week, it looks like it will be again
