I notice that under the Flying Club Gold benefits for Virgin Atlantic (http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/au/fr ... /index.jsp) they have removed the section at the bottom that describes the additional benefits with VAustralia and Virgin Blue.

Does anybody know what is going on here?

Also, when they used to be displayed, there was mention of access to the lounge as a benefit with Virgin Blue but no mention of lounge access with VAustralia.

Can anyone clarify if a Flying Club Gold member flying VAustralia would have lounge access?

I checked last August, with regard to Virgin Blue and was told Au's were not able to use the Lounge facilities. No idea about VAustralia.

The info is still on VA site, you need to be logged in to your FC account to see it.

Doesnt mention lounge access for VAustralia though, just priority boarding and priority baggage

The lounge access is with Virgin Blue

As a Gold member you will receive extra benefits when travelling with Virgin Blue:
- Lounge Access: As a Gold member, you will be able to access Virgin Blue lounges* despite your class of travel

Thanks Penny_L. Logging in did the trick!

Seems they have double standards as Gold level with VAustralia gives you access to the Virgin Atlantic clubhouses :)
