The engines on a French Concorde are to be examined as the first move in a £15m project aiming to get the supersonic passenger jet back in the air.

It would be great if they can do it. We have spitfires, mosquitos and all sorts of other aircraft that are maintained for heritage reasons and come out for a few airshows a year, and the campaign to get the Vulcan flying again was finally a success so it would be nice to have one operational Concorde.

I would love to see Concorde flying at air shows. She used to regularly fly over my parents garden in Ascot and looked so special everyone would just stop what they were doing until she had gone!
