Crucial UC question.....

We are due to fly of to Barbados at the end of this week and have managed to secure return upper class rewards seats for the first time (have managed to get one way once before). The problem I have is that I've taken a bit of a liking to the occasional gin these days (could be from all the v-flyer trip reports of course ). Does anyone know if you can get slimline tonic onboard at all as i prefer this to normal tonic?

I cannot help I am afraid, I have enjoyed many G & T's on VS flight but have never requested the slimline tonic option.

The lime availability problem is easily solved.

Take a spare zip-lock bag similar to your liquids bag and ask the Clubhouse to provide some wedges. They are always happy to oblige.

Apparently the trick with the lime it just to take it from the clubhouse

You'd think that if the clubhouse are getting requests for lime then the message might get through that they should have limes onboard.

Yes both full-fat and slimline tonic are available onboard.

Which is good if VS had not of stopped my Favourite Gin, Oh I wish VS would bring back Tanqueray 10.... if only....

I was fortunate enough to have the last drop on V-FAB a few days later on VS19

And I'd so carefully skirted the dreaded topic of Tanqueray 10

I somehow knew my fellow fans of it would mentions it sooner or later. Perhaps this is something else they could also do as a take away from the clubhouse....

They even have slimline in economy - shock horror! I always enjoy my first Virgin G&T as it is hand poured and nicely strong. Looking forward to one on Friday.

I can confirm that when I did VS029/030 a couple of weeks back - both slimline tonic and lime and lemon were available in quite large quantities!
