Pushed back slightly late, then as about to turn left to take off we turned a full 180 degrees right away from runway.

Captain came on PA to say aircraft behind spotted a liquid leaking from rear of aircraft. 10min later they say its water and think from drinking water supply. We get moved to a stand, they check it further and 1h 40min after due to leave get told someone left a valve open. So now top up fuel and water before heading off

2 hour delay from human error!

At least I now know why my flight has been delayed for 1.40mins at this end!

Oh well, an extra hour in the clubhouse, sipping a Virgin Kiss helps to pass the time. It's very quiet here, don't know if this is normal or whether other flyers have been informed of the delay and will be arriving later. I received a text and a phone to tell me about the delay so was able to stay on in the hotel until 1pm. Rather than spend a few more hours in SFO shopping (much to husband's relief), we thought we would sample the clubhouse offerings instead.
Just had the cream of asparagus soup, followed by the Pan seared Tilapia and finished off with the Vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Very nice too. Only another 3 hours to go to boarding, better order another Virgin Kiss y)

Trip reports to follow

Lucky you Anna!

If they have any of the little cup cakes then try those - they are delicious.

Is Claire there? Say hello to her from me and tell her I'll see her tomorrow. :D

HoneyLamb,
Claire not here today, I did ask whether she would be in tomorrow and the girls said she would be as she is leaving and there will be a leaving party for her. I asked if she was going elsewhere but they said no, she was just going to stay at home (presumably looking after family).

Aha, G-VWOW has just arrived, time for another Virgin Kiss I think (I'm getting quite partial to these - hic!).

Tontybear,

We will have a stroll over to the museum shortly, we did notice all the display cases when we arrived but we were too eager to enter the clubhouse first. - No cupcakes :(

More people have now arrived but still not that busy.
