The wife has decided she wants to do a grand tour of London while we are there, has anyone done one of these?

Of course looking at the web there are a million and one tour companys and knowing my luck I would choose the one that takes us to HMP Brixton :D

If the timing's right Dave, maybe there should be a pub tour arranged too? ;)

Cheers

Hi

If you're coming up to the Midlands (ie. Birmingham) let me know and I'll be glad to take you on a tour of the local pubs as I work in the city centre right in the heart of the drinking area:D

We are only going to be in London for one afternoon (the 13th) and one morning(14th),what I think we are going to end up doing is a bus tour in the afternoon then Harrods in the morning (note to self:lose the AMEX card wed night)..thank you all for your kind offers, the next time we are over we will be spending more time in London and the area,as it is this time it is say hi to the family, show the wife where I grew up,then catch the Euro Star to Paris.

Stumbled across this and realised no real answer had been given so wanted to give a bit of clarity in case others are using it. There are 4 key companies offering sightseeing tours across London, these are:

    Evan Evans
    Premium Tours
    Original London Tour Company
    Big Bus London

There are the 4 key companies, you can purchase tours direct through these companies or you can purchase through a discount company such as SightseeingToursLondon.co.uk or a more global player such as Viator. These companies will offer you services such as Hotel Pick Up and Drop Off and Blue Badge Guides.

Alternatively, if you are an AMEX Card Holder - which I know many of this forum are, within the Travel Section, accessible by logging into your Amex Account and under Experiences and these tours on offer for London would be through one of the companies listed above - so you can even spend your points to get a London Tour if you wanted!

Hope all this is useful - better late than never.
