Me too. I've flown with them 200+ times in the last couple of years, and been late - without obviously external factors such as weather or ATC strikes - about 5 times. (And, in respect of weather, they've continued to fly when Ryanair have thrown all their toys out of the pram and cancelled all their flights).

This is just another round in Stelio's long running spat with the airline board over their strategy of investment in new aircraft and expansion rather than paying dividends to shareholders. He's been at it for a while harrassing them about ancillary fees and licencing. Picking up on Ryanair's attack on him seems a tad opportunistic.

Stelios clearly has a bee in his bonnet about the way easyJet is currently run, and as a large shareholder he is allowed to!

But his preferred method of business - airing(!) threats in public stinks.

Let's not forget there is a certain level of pride that goes along with this though, there is nothing like being called out for the last week about how bad the time keeping is to make someone react.

Even though Stelios no longer owns the airline outright, it is still very much associated with him and frankly, as it's largest stockholder he is certainly allowed to throw his toys.
