Another business trip to Boston had me on an early start with a 7:30am limo pickup to Manchester for the quick hop with BA to Heathrow. On arrival I took advice from this site & ignored flight transfers despite only having hand luggage & took the Heathrow Express which meant I could use the UC wing at T3 rather than queuing at flight transfers security which has no express lane.

Straight to the CH & grabbed a seat in the main pit near the bar & settled in with a Virgin Readhead & a visit to the deli counter. Very disappointed to see plastic cutlery on offer, there was still some proper metal cutlery but it looked like they were running out. hopefully the plastic was just in case they ran out but it sends a very poor message as far as I'm concerned. Food was up to its usual standards though & I can recommend the pistachio cake. After a head massage I wandered in a daze back to my seat & I can only assume it was an effect of the post massage confusion that saw me ordering coffee :P

After 3 hours in the CH the boarding call finally came through & it was off to Gate 22 & straight onto Cosmic Girl. sitting in the 'teens in a 747 is a really nice spacious cabin. No empty seats in the pointy end either; 369 on board was the total given. Push back on time but a 40 minute taxi had us all jumping for the toilets as soon as we finished the initial climb out.

Some good new movies on offer for August; the new Shrek, Cemetery Junction & Taking Alice Creed were my choices but there are plenty more for me to choose from in a couple of weeks when I head for EWR.

As I didn't fancy a heavy cooked meal & had already tried the ham hock on the last trip i opted for the vegetarian spiced chickpea patties which were truly excellent. Afternoon tea saw the cake stand making the rounds & we were all encouraged to take at least 2 each, so natural I had to try one of each :D

Cabin crew were attentive throughout the flight, the FSM never came round to introduce himself in person though - I think they had 2 FSMs but I couldn't be sure. Landed on time, straight through an empty immigration hall & out to the waiting limo inside 10 minutes of leaving the aircraft.
