Has anyone ever made a claim under the Hilton Best Rate Guarantee. I put a request in last week for a Hotel in Belfast, found it much cheaper on Expedia so booked through Hilton and did the claim.

Anyway its been over a week and apart from a confirmation E-Mail for the claim I aint heard a thing. Any ideas on how long they usualy take?

My experience is they always try and find a way not to pay, for example expedia is paid upfront, and most Direct rates aren't, so they don't match.

My claim was turned around in less than 24 hours but was a no, so I cancelled and went elsewhere.

I tried once, and like you had it rejected because they said one was a prepay rate and the other was a pay on checkout. My guess is that there are very few successful claims.

Had a very nasty experience last week at the Bonaventure Montreal Hilton booking through Expedia.They refused point blank to honour any Diamond benefits because it was booked through a 3rd party.I paid about $CD10 less through Expedia than Hilton so it wasn't some Priceline give away.Any wonder why our paid Hilton stays this year number 2.
