Just sitting in the lounge at Orlando waiting for my flight back home.

Looks like its going to be the opposite of my outbound one - jammed to the rafters.

Anyways, just a little update for the frequent users of this lounge. Since I was here in June they have "expanded" their food range and added some carrot and celery sticks to the right of the bar and some choc chip cookies to the left.

There is still that awful :$ mix stuff on offer as well as the plastic cheese and crackers.

Ther good news is that they still serve Bud in the frozen glasses y)

I'm travelling to Orlando in a few weeks, but unfortunately only in PE class. I understand I can purchase a one day pass to the Delta lounge for $50. This sounds a bit steep when I can get a UK business lounge for around £17.

Can anyone advise me as to whether you think it's worth paying $50 per person to get into the Delta lounge at MCO?

cheers

I wouldn't pay $15 let alone $50 to get in to the Delta lounge at MCO. I would grab something to eat and drink in the main terminal before security and the monorail then go across as late as possible.

The lounge is very basic and offers free drinks and very limited snacks.

$50 is way too much for the Delta Lounge.

Do other v-flyers recommend Mccoys bar?

I am sure there is a thread on this somewhere.

Yep - here is one link.

Cannot recommend it highly enough - a haven of peace and tranquility y) y)

OK, the service could be better and you do pay a little more than you would expect off airport, but in comparison to the food court in the main terminal or the steakhouse in Satellite B, but as far as Mrs Buns and I are concerned, it is worth it

McCoys is the MCO clubhouse as far as I'm concerned. Pity it's not airside but there is a quick(er) way through security.
Go to the lines just to the right of the Hyatt elevators (left of the escalator).
There is a partially hidden "experienced" flyers entrance behind the lifts.

One warning - do have everything prepared for the security check - other users are not happy if you start to empty pockets etc at the belt.

McCoys was discussed here.

It was a real shame they made the Delta lounge smaller but I would still recommend it. I cannot relax at an airport until I have been thru security and once at the lounge I breathe a sigh of relief. I echo buns feelings totally !

My only recommendation is to steer clear of the area near Burger King (if it is still there) - nothing like the smell of the "food" from there to make you ill before the flight. :$ :$ :$
