Since it's become a regular fixture, the A380 has been headline news in Manc land for the last couple of days! I was at MAN on Saturday and saw what must have been at least five thousand people dotted around on side roads and in the Viewing Park, just waiting for the beast to land.

It's also the culmination of an investment programme by the airport, so they'll be promoting it, and the wings are made locally so there's a double dip of publicity there...

LOL - everytime I go to work I see the A380's of EK, QF, SQ and for a time AF - they're a normal sight now at LHR and have been for a while. :D

Yep! They're getting quite ordinary now. They don't really have the majesty of the 747s or the oooomph! of Concorde in its day

Yes you always turned and looked at Concorde when it was taxiing, taking off or landing. :)

Looks as though there's going to be two A380s at MAN for a while.
One sched. for 1400 takeoff, the other for 1410.

Might be struggling for gate space.

Well that's obviously the case for you ... but not all.

From my experience of Manchester ground ops, I expect 2 A380's will completely banjax the system.
