A colleague has just returned from BOS and told me a most interesting tale so I thought I'd reach out on here to see if anyone had experienced anything similar.
He was flying back from BOS in Y and asked at check-in to upgrade his and his wifes seats with his VS miles. The agent confirmed that they could do this and asked for the £10 admin fee. Immediately he questioned this and said that he'd upgraded many times before and never had to pay a fee (to use his own miles!) but the staff were adamant that it was the procedure. Fortunately he called VS CS back in the UK who told the agent that they were in error and he got his seats for miles.
I just wanted to check if anyone else had experienced this as I find it quite worrying if this has happened before to passengers.
