Hi Everyone

Help - I need some advice/guidance.

I have planned a "lads" (old men really!)golf trip to Florida on the above date.

I had it planned to the nth degree UNTIL two other gentlemen decided that a week in the sun was not to be missed!

Two of the party are travelling upper class. Ideally I want to keep the party together (on the flight and in the lounges etc) & I was wondering what the upgrade cost would be from PE to UC on the day?

I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks in advance

Going by the available seats -

lgw-mco
J1 D1 R1 Z0 W0 S0 K0 Y9 B9 L9 M9 Q9 X0 N0 O0
J4 D4 R4 Z3 W9 S9 K9 Y9 B9 L9 M9 Q9 X5 N0 O0

man-mco
J0 D0 R0 Z0 W1 S1 K1 Y9 B9 L9 M9 Q9 X2 N0 O0

Expensive - probably in excess of £1500 each

If you really want to keep all your party together then you should try and upgrade now and not wait until you get to the airport.

Even though there may be space available that does not automatically mean upgrades will be offered

Don't forget that each UC pax will be able to take in one guest into the CH

Thanks Tonybear and Neil for the info on signing into the UC lounge - the problem is that only two of the party (of 6) are travelling UC. So, as you say, if they can sign in one each that still leaves 2 of us out in the cold!

As the others have said upgrade now - you should be given a price if you go onto manage my booking, that will give you a more accurate total.

Its only more likely to go up the closer it gets, and again there's no guarantee that with only 4 seats left VA will offer any upgrades never mind any deals.

Again, as has already been said, the two flying upper can take a guest with them during check in, and into the lounge.

Will be interesting to see what price you are offered - please keep us up to date.

thanks

Just read your post saying you need 4 upgrades - presuming you are on the VS15, the one with 4 free seats, you need to decide asap.

I would think it might be a staggering amount for the last 4 seats :0

It will be a refare, really, so three could go to a Z ticket, which might not be so staggering, but at least one would need to go to a D ticket, which will be pricey. If all four are booked on the same ticket, you would all be forced into D, and then you'd really be talking staggering. With the small number of seats in J for these flights, it's never a cheap activity this close.

I was able to upgrade to J once on the LGW planes from LAS, on the day of flight, using miles, as there were two seats available in the cabin. But with four people this is way too risky even if you have the miles and are in the right fare bucket. Tough situation.
