Apologies for the delay in posting this TR.

We had stayed at the Gatwick Hilton the night before so to make good use of the Clubhouse we were were at check-in at 6am. As we arrived a PE passenger was called from his queue to UC and an Economy passenger called to PE so we waited - and waited - and waited! Eventually we were called to an Economy desk and formalities completed we were given our purple boarding cards. We were NOT told about the 90 minute dealy, nor did the agent make any effort to make any small talk or smile!

Through security pretty quickly and a quick perfume perchase in Duty Free and we were at the Clubhouse. We were told about the delay and the greeter was surprised to hear we hadn't been told at check-in, nor did we get a text or e-mail. It was our first visit since te refit and I must say it was nicely done. We booked a massage for Dr G and a manicure for me, both very good - in fact my manicure lasted the whole two weeks.

We both had a Buck's Fizz and I had the fruit salad while Dr G had some smoked salmon thing - yuck! A ocuple of additional glasses of orange juice and cup of coffee followed - and an extra glass of bubbly I think!!

Our flight was called at 10am and we went down to find Priority Boarding in place so were on board Hot Lips straight away and in seats 7A&K.. The seat was in reasonable shape but the IFE controls were a bit grubby and very dated. We were welcomed back, though not by name and duly offered the bubbles and another glass before we pushed back at exactly 10.30. After the seat belt sign went off we were offred more champagne which Dr G acepted but I had an OJ. The IFE was switched on very quickly and lunch was served soon after. I had the cauliflower soup which was fabulous and the chocolate dessert which was also great. After that I converted the bed and settled down to sleep.

I woke half way through the flight and went to the bar to have a soft drink and stayed chatting to our for a couple of hours to our stewardess who was extremely friendly and helpful. I declined any tea but had some fruit and before we knew it we were approaching Tobago just over 8 hours after leaving LGW. At this point 7 passengers from the UC cabin left and the remaining 7 of us stood around chatting for the 90 minutes we were on the ground, helped by the drinks "our" CC served us. 5 of us discovered we were staying at La Source, and all of us had stayed there before so chatted about our previous trips there. Eventually we took off for Grenada and a short 20 minutes later we were there.

PE and Economy were held back for us to disembark and so by the time we got to Immigration there were only a few ahead of us. We were through pretty quickly and when we got to the bagage reclaim, our bags were almost first off. We were through and met by our driver and at the hotel 5 minutes later.

All in all a great flight.
