Six of us will be staying at the Grand Hyatt in Manhattan in November and we will need to transfer to Pier 12 in Brooklyn to connect with the QM2 for a Carribean cruise. y)

Can anyone reccommend a good and reliable company that will be able to carry all of us and our luggage in one vehicle?

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Carmel Limo despite the name!) offers people carrier type vehicles

You can also get miles in a number of programmes too (not VS thoough!)

Have only used the normal car service and found them to be very good and efficient.

Any of the car companies listed on the JFK ground transportation pages will be able to help too.

NYC Limousine - I can recommend as I used these a couple of weeks ago and they were faultless. They even hung around the terminal despite >1.5 hour delays in immigration.
Be careful, do your research as there are a lot of limo companies in NYC - not all of them have a good reputation. Google is your friend here!

Used both Carmel and Dial 7 - OK. I think they offer bus-type transport, which is probably what will be required here. 5 of us tool Dial 7 from mid-town east (very close to where you are) to JFK in May, with 4 suitcases and assorted odds and ends, and we had a minivan arrive which was pretty much full by the end of it all. It might have taken a 6th person, but more luggage would have been a challenge. Make sure you are clear on this if you are going to book yourself. The hotel will ensure this is done well, of course, though you can expect to pay more than you would if you booked directly.

In this sort of space (minivans) Dial 7 was a tad on the spartan side (think Honda minivan), whereas when I have used them before for two of us they have sent a classic black Town Car. It worked well enough for us, of course. I did once let our hotel arrange for transport, and this also worked very well, it was about 20 or 30 dollars more expensive than doing it ourselves.

I have used Dial 7 a couple of times but recently have used Wiro limo company and was very impressed.

slightly 'off topic' but thought it may be of interest....

Have stayed at Grand Hyatt Manhattan a few times and have always enjoyed my stay. However, have just stayed for the first time at Andaz 5th Ave which is only a few months old and just round the corner and all i can say is WOW!

May be worth a look?

If not, then sorry for posting 'off topic' but couldn't stop myself....
