We are going to Vegas in December for my wifes 40th. Does anyone have any recomendations for nice restaurants to celebrate the day. We have been to the French restaurant in the Eifell Tower at Paris hotel and the one at the Statosphere before. Any advice would be appreciated.

My vote would be for Guy Savoy - Franck, the Maitre D' is great

But the Joel Robluchon is amazing also. I think you'll find that either of these are in a very different league (quality and price) than the Stratosfear!

Hope you enjoy wherever you go - and congratulations!

There are so many to choose from and depending on your budget, the sky's the limit :w

No doubt others will come along with their particular favourites, but the personal favourite of the Buns' Household is Delmonico's situated in the Venetian Hotel

If you say where you are staying, that will help make sure you are not sent too far away

As others have said, there is so much choice in Vegas. What is your budget and what sort of food do you like?

I've either eaten or want to eat at:
Prime at Bellagio
L'Atelier at MGM Grand
Mix at Mandalay

Thanks, We are staying off the strip at the Platinum Hotel and Spa, we wanted a none casino hotel and that was one of the best rated on Tripadvisor. I dont have a budget really as its a special occasion, just want somewhere nice for a special occasion, but not French as my wife isnt too keen.

Danny -

Delmonico's at the Venetian is a favourite , as is The Capital Grille - both excellent steaks and excellent service. I can also recommend mix at Mandalay Bay, great food and the design of the restaurant is well worth seeing, it's quite a spectacle. If you want off strip, the Roy's which is 'hawaiian fusion' - i.e. lots of fish! - is ver good. Can't recommend Delmonico's highly enough though - been going there for ten years! Enjoy your trip - you'll have an awesome time!

If budget really isn't an issue then take a shot at Alex at the Wynn.

Also

Michaels at the South Point, Nine or as has already been said Delmonico's.

Or there's Nobu at the Hard Rock?

Andre's is about as French as they come, Nobu I have always found to be over rated, just my opinion.

'French-ness' is hard to measure. I think Andre's may be the US idea of French, but from this side of the pond we think of it being 'American' (with a slightly French leaning)- ie not like you get in 'France'

Aren't different cultures marvellous?

And as another suggestion for Danny - how about Michael Mina?
(and don't try & tell me you think this is Egyptian :)-
