Just a short trip report I'm afraid.

Arrived at JFK pretty early due to my inbound flight from Boston, which meant I had a good four hours to kill in the lounge.

As I've mentioned in another thread - everything is great with the lounge at JFK - apart from the noise from the terminal below - particularly the rollers on the baggage screening machine on the other side. So, I plugged in my earphones and passed the time catching up on some work and on this site!

Boarding was called on time, though at the queue for security there were way more people in the fast track line than the normal one - so I switched.

On this trip I'd done some internal flights, and every time I had put my laptop and my shoes in the same tray at security. For some reason this TSA agent decreed this was not acceptable so all my belongings had to be re-scanned with the shoes in their own tray....

Anyway after that short hold up, I was at the gate priority boarding was working well, and I was soon in my favourite seat 3K and quickly got changed into the sleep suit. The CC brought me a bucks fizz, took my duty free order and I told her that I wouldn't want waking for breakfast. The pilot announced a quick flight of 5 hr 45mins. I settled in and was reading my book so didn't notice if we pushed back on time or how long we taxi'd for. Once in the air and the seatbelt sign was off, I turned my seat into a bed and was quickly in the land of nod.

The next thing I knew I was being woken by the announcement that we would soon be landing! Perfect! I'd slept the entire flight. A quick trip to the bathroom to get changed and freshen up and I headed to the bar and grabbed a bacon roll as the crew were clearing down. Had a quick chat with the FSM, who was very friendly who told me they'd had a great flight as all the UC PAX had slept! My duty free had appeared on my seat, and after having to circle for 15 minutes due to a busy Heathrow, we were soon on the tarmac. Passport control was empty (another hooray!) so we beat the bags on the carousel. Priority bags seemed to be working well as mine were quickly off, and having grabbed them I began my journey home.

For me - the perfect flight. On time, friendly CC and FSM and I slept the entire way...

Well done VS!

On another note, I haven't done individual TR, but I took three internal flights with Jet Blue (JFK - ORD, ORD - BOS, BOS - JFK) and each one was really good. I would recommend them to anyone planning on some internal flights in the USA. (great legroom and live seat back TV)

What a great feeling to have slept the entire flight. I managed it once coming home from HKG on holiday and I couldn't believe I'd slept that long!

JetBlue are a great airline and the live TV is just brilliant - the time onboard just flies by with it!

It's become my new aim on long haul flights - to sleep for as much of the flight as I possibly can!

I'm lucky enough that work pay for me to go UC, and the bed is the biggest perk of them all, so want to get my employers monies worth!
