The Premiere Lounge? Is it as horrible as I fear?
Just as an aside, be clear of what you are doing on arrival in terms of getting into CPT, there's mucho dodgy goings on in terms of porterage and "taxis". Just keep your wits about you and have a clear plan. More so if hiring a car, the route into CPT does go along a freeway with extensive townships on either-side, can be a an eye-opening first view..
NH, Hobbit Land.
I used the BidAir Lounge in the Domestic Terminal last week - pics to follow. It was very good. However their International Lounge at Jo'burg is awful, with Menzies being far better.
Not sure if you can take a peek before showing your card though...!

When we returned from CPT DL the Elder and I were distinctly underwhelmed with the lounge (it was the SAA First lounge that VS were using). It's self -service but you have to go and request everything at the bar and feels more akin to a Servisair lounge. No "real" champagne (sparkling wine in mini bottles and cans of beer) and what little food there was was dire (pre-prepared small plates of processed cheese sandwiches v( Ugh).Spend as little time there as possible -it's pretty dire with not much to keep Tizer occupied. We left the lounge before the gate opened and were glad to board and get a glass of proper fizz.

NH - hiring a car, but will ensure wits are about for all members of the mdvipond party.
DL - so, as horrid as I feared. It's such a late flight time, and with a 5 year old in tow we're trying to make it as painless as possible. We've organised a late check-out from our hotel in Stellenbosch, so we'll hang out there as long as we can.
