Where can I find details of which flights to London were diverted today?

I had some friends travelling on VS24 and was not sure how to find out of that made it to London.

Thanks

VS8 went to Manchester, so the VS24 won't have made it in either because Heathrow was closed.

The below indicates that it's gone elsewhere for tonight, but no idea where!

Flight number VS 024
Departure date 17 Dec 2010
Route Los Angeles (LAX) to London (LHR)
Scheduled departure time 17 Dec 21:15
Actual departure time 17 Dec 23:57
Scheduled arrival time 19 Dec 09:29
Estimated arrival time 19 Dec 09:29

Oh and if you're interested, some other flights:

VS658 from Accra - landed in Palma (Majorca)
VS301 from Delhi - went back to Delhi
VS401 from Dubai - diverted to east midlands
VS652 from Lagos - diverted to Shannon
VS44 from Vegas - diverted to Stansted
VS8 from LA - diverted to Manchester
VS672 from Nairobi - diverted to Lyon
VS10 from JFK - diverted to Stansted
VS18 from Newark - diverted to Hannover
VS16 from Orlando - diverted to Stansted
VS20 from San Francisco - diverted to Stansted
VS251 from Shanghai - diverted to Dublin
VS901 from Tokyo - diverted to Shannon

All over the place!

Some of the comments are shocking! I've not been able to hold back and had to give my thoughts on some of them!!!

Really do think some people are on another planet!

I read some then gave up ! My BP couldn't stand it !

Some people just need a good slapping then be allocated the worst seat on their flights with screaming triplets surounding them.

Yeah, some of those people really are muppets!!

One thing I would say is that is diabolical that BAA won't have Heathrow open for arrivals all day on Sunday, and limited departures. Appreciate there was a lot of snow etc but it's not far off 18 hours since it stopped!

It will also be that the airlines might not be able to schedule flights due to crew hours etc etc.

As the BAA spokesman made clear yesterday the airport was open but it was down to the airlines to decide about actually operating flights.

And when you consider a lot of our aircraft are stuck in other countries or UK airports - crew have to have rest before these aircraft can be repositioned back to LHR/LGW - it all takes time. Also a lot of crew, especially commuters cannot get to the airport, so crewing flights is another major issue.

That's what prompted my FFS response! OK so she earns a bit more than most but so what? If she wanted preferential treatment why didn't she hire a private jet. A clear case of "Notice me!"

As for the statement from VS about priority disembarking being part of the cost of the ticket then the whole of UC should have been left off! v(

Nice bit of free publicity for VS if you ask me. Doesn't really reflect so badly on the airline, more on Madonna being a bit of a fruit loop with the yoga thing. Besides, I bet she paid for some sort of arrangement to be made for her to get away.
