Am returning next month from a few days break in NY on the VS010 in Upper.
As this the last VS flight of the day from JFK it has the 'snooze zone' in rows 1-4 as per the VS website and as (a) I'm not a huge sleeper on planes and (b) I'd like to enjoy the UC experience as much as possible the decision was made to choose seats just outside the zone.
Consequently, seats 6K and 7K were chosen for my travelling companion and I, with the added advantage that these suites don't actually face anyone, and so offer a little more privacy.
However, after doing some internet reading I gather that the privacy curtain that is used to separate the snooze zone from the main cabin is in fact located right behind suite 7K :0 .
I appreciate that this is a night flight home and that dimming of the cabin lights is inevitable once food service etc has finished, but am now seriously considering if we should move our seats towards the rear of the cabin just to ensure that we don't get plunged into darkness immediately after take-off?
Would appreciate any advice....

Thanks.

When I came back from NYC the other week, I was in the snooze zone yet the curtain wasn't used at all.

IMO, the only difference is it's a bit darker in the snooze zone. You can still eat, watch IFE etc, and most importantly, get to the bar!

I am the very worst person, I admit it.

When the snooze zone was introduced I was a vocal anti. Now it's there, I love it. I never thought that my life would involve as many US East Coast trips as I do, and the necessity of working all day in New York, say, flying home, and working all day on return.

Now, I love the snooze zone, I board, don my sleep suit, sip champagne, zzzzzzzz through take-off, put my bed down immediately after take off, have my hot chocolate and Aberfeldy whisky, and go to sleep until as late as possible before landing.

I throw mental and metaphorical daggers at any neighbour who treats the snooze zone as something other people endure, by eating late, leaving their IFE on, talking loudly, etc.

I am not alone ): .

So Nessy, I say "move back".

Thanks, if 6/7K definitely are in the snooze zone as you and rich1664 have appear to have confirmed then don't really want to be there....

Everyone knew it just wasn't going to happen on that LGW-LAS flight, and I don't believe it will happen this time either..... :0 :D :D

Will move back methinks, thanks!
