VS029 LGW/BGI 24hr Online Check-in or Twilight?

Hi,

We're a party of 5 PE (2 kids) on VS029 30 Dec 10:30 am.

Seat booking unavailable on-line. What's our best option for getting a group of seats together?

(a) Arrive early for Twilight check-in on 29 Dec and hope.
(b) Book on-line 24 hr in advance. Does on-line booking allow us to choose seats in a group?

What do the experts advise?

Welcome to the site,

I would say do OLCI and see what seat options are available and grab the best ones, then if you still aren't happy do Twilight aswell and see if you can get better then.

Also look at the Manage My Booking page a couple of hours or so before OLCI opens. Sometimes seats are released then. On one occasion I was able to change seats 2 hours before and on another 5 hours before OLCI

I'm guessing that seats "not available for booking", is simply down to the number of families on the flight. Oh, thanks for the VS029 seat map. Google brought me here!

Only 60% of seats are available for pre-selection, the remaining 40% are held back until OLCI. Occasionally if there are a lot of parties that haven't had seats allocated the system will automatically assign seats raher than allow you to choose, but as I said you can always ask again at the airport.

Seats automatically pre-allocated centre of PE section. Info was available (10:00 a.m.) before OLCI was available.
