Snow diversions?

Hey guys, just nosing at the aircraft database and noticed several diversions recently.

10th Dec G-VAIR Virgin 658 to Barcelona
17th Dec G-VWKD Virgin 8 to Manchester
18th Dec G-VRED/G-VYOU Virgin 201/Virgin 901 Shannon/Edinburgh respectively
19th Dec G-VBLU Virgin 401 to East Midlands...

Since the all occured within the same time frame, i can only assume it was snow related?
Can anybody shed any light on it, or equally, correct me if i am wrong. Thanks in advance boys and girls
