Hi all,

Arrived at T3 to check in for my flight to Boston in plenty of time, to make sure I got a good use of the clubhouse.

UC check in was busy and a member of staff came over to ask where I was flying too. When I told her Boston, she replied with an 'Ahh....'

So to cut a long story short, the flight to Boston went tech this morning. They had a new departure time of 5pm, but she couldn't guarantee it would go so she offered me the chance to switch to the BA flight at 4pm. Her words were "If you need to get to Boston today, then I would take the BA flight if I were you."

Will be interested to see if it does take off today....

So I now find myself in the Galleries lounge at T5.

So whilst disappointed I won't be flying VS, at least they're getting me to Boston today. (There was a AU holder next to me at the VS ticket desk who was flying PE - he wasn't offered the chance to move to the BA plane, so I am thankful for that!)

Initial impression of Galleries? Well there were 4 people to 'welcome' me, though none of them did. One eventually beckoned me over, scanned my boarding card and waved me in. It's nicely laid out, but it certainly isn't a Virgin Clubhouse....

Safe flight

Cheers.

negative points:

Can't get my hair cut in the lounge.
Have a faff later on in claiming the miles to my FC account.
Don't get a sleep suit.

Plus points:
Get to see what 'the dark side' business offering is like.
I'm still going business class.
I still get there on the correct day.

So overall, the plus side wins out.

Am trying to work out what sort of aircraft it will be. Looking at seat guru, I think it'll be a boeing 777 (based on I'm in seat 10K and only these aircraft are showing a 10K in club world.)
this means I'll be flying backwards. Not done that before!

Just a quick post from on the plane - these seats are weird. It's the proximity of the person next to you - right in your eye line. What's the ettiquite? Ignore? Introduce? pull the blind up at the first opportunity?

Still, at least I'm flying. Wonder if they fixed the vs011...?

Hope you enjoy your flight with the dark side.
