When to take the Christmas tree down?

All down for me yesterday. Needed the space but do miss the cozy atmosphere that comes with the lovely Christmas tree and all it's lights

I knew Christams was well and truly over yesterday when I went to the loathsome supermarket that is Tesco and found a whole aisle of Easter eggs.

And let's not forget hot cross buns too!

I knew Christams was well and truly over yesterday when I went to the loathsome supermarket that is Tesco and found a whole aisle of Easter eggs.

For us a sure sign is the appearance of First Holy Communion dresses in the shops which happened last week. First Holy Communion ceremonies are held n May!

And, as I write, the decorations and tree are still there...

The Mrs spends at least 3 days putting up countless decorations, a tree in the dining room, lounge, hall etc etc...

I tend to leave the decorations thing in her hands while I load/unload the dish-washer, washing machine etc etc.

So, don't know when the tree(s) etc will vanish into the loft, she might leave them there ready for next year!!!!!!

Ours usually go up the first weekend in December and always come down on the 1st January. To me Christmas is over when I got back to work after christmas, we always work the days inbetween, so they are lucky they get to stay up till the 1st
