Do they ever make a mistake and add miles in error? I have just looked at my account and the total has shot up - and while I was expectly a pretty big credit due to buying some furniture, there are far more than I'd expected.

Do I call and ask about it - or not???!!!

Ah, that might explain it - although I don't have a Virgin CC, I just shop via the site. However it's happened, I have now got an extra 20,000 miles I wasn't expecting.

Excellent!

There was a double miles promotion if you spent £40 or more between 17th November and 24th December through the online shopping site

If you log in to Flying Club, go to Flying Club partners, and then shopping. You can earn miles with retailers there

Slightly OT with apols, but has anyone earned miles on eBay, can you share how to do it, if I follow the link to eBay I have to sign in, how does it 'know' to credit FC miles on a purchase?

It's best to clear your cookies first. Then link through the VS site to ebay, do your business (but it is the PAYMENT stage you must go through the VS link for - either bid as normal, and then use the link when you are paying, or just use straight away if using buy-it-now)

The miles should track automatically (from the affiliate link cookie) within a week or two, and then be awarded a short while after that.

The main thing is you MUST use the VS link at payment for it to work.

In your FC history it should state where the miles have originated from. You haven't made x2 miles more friends referrals for new FC members flying in UC have you?

Appreciate that, thing is the #1 here buys a lot through eBay (in the antiques business) and we've missed out on this. So he shops as usual, then when an auction is won, starts from VS to click through, great stuff, thanks.

I always do both transactions through the VS site just to be sure (possibly overkill but you know what us miles whores are like).

Also, friend booked their first UC flight and joined FC after talking to me and I completely missed my opportunity for them to click through from my email, completely gutted as this would have got me on the new NZ business class!

If it was a double miles credit from christmas it would say "double miles promo" so I would have thought you can see this when logging in :?
If not then you got lucky y)
