Had to change my wife's flight to join me in the US next week.

I was supposed to be in Boston next week, but work are now sending me to Chicago on Saturday - which meant that my wife flies in next Tuesday to Boston - I'd booked her a ticket in G using my miles.

So my plan was to book her a new flight from Boston to Chicago to join me there that night.... however there are no flights from Boston to Chicago after 5.30pm and as the VS011 lands at 5.25pm there was no way she could do that.

So I called FC and they moved her to the Washington flight (which lands at 3pm and there is a 5.25 to Chicago.)

Anyway - it was very quick and easy to do - didn't cost me a penny and yet again the call centre staff were really helpful.

But fancy not be able to fly from Boston to Chicago after 5.30pm? Very surprised at that.

Good re the call centre.

Bit surprised at the no flights after 5.30 pm BOS - ORD. Seams a bit strange as I know UA have one later than that at about 7.15.

Me too - but there is nothing after 5.30pm next Tuesday.....

Also from IAD there is one flight at 5.30pm and one at 10.30pm and that's it.

Do they have a restriction on night flights in Chicago?!

Are you searching online? there's a bit of a war between the US airlines and some online vendors going on at the moment so not all flights are shown anymore someaggrigator results.

You're right - Expedia has recently dropped American so it's been a combination of checking expedia and AA separately.
