Uk Departure Tax

Hi everyone

Does anyone know why the Uk departure tax for PE flights (VS tax code UB) is £33.60 for a return to Orlando for 2AD 1CH but is £91.89 for the same people but flying to BOS or JFK and back from MCO?

All other taxes, including USA taxes are the same.

UB is not the UK departure tax, that is GB and it is £120 per adult and child.

UB is the airport tax and Gatwick is significantly cheaper than Heathrow for this.
ETA - Just found that the formal name is "Passenger Services Charge".

technically, APD is an excise duty and not a departure tax. the legal definition is different.
